What is Our Personal Ministry?

Let's continue to focus on our individual, personal ministries.  We all have them, some big, others small.  These ministries don't have to be directly related to our church or our job, but they can.  We all may have a ministry to our family. We probably all have some sort of ministry at work too.  If we really thought about it, we all have multiple ministries that we may not even really focus on, but that we do anyways.

So this month continue to think about our ministries and choose one to focus on and pray over.
"He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?"

August Prayer Topic: Personal Ministry

Personal Ministries.
"Declare his glory among the nations,his marvelous deeds among all peoples."
Psalm 96:3

Every Friday where I work, we have corporate worship.  A couple of Friday’s ago, one of our Assistant Vice Presidents told of her ministry going to Guatemala every year.  She goes with a group and helps do corrective surgeries on cleft palates.  It was very inspirational.

I started thinking of what I could do as a person ministry.  She mentioned that even a random act of kindness to someone is a ministry.  I could be a missionary to the people that I see every day.  It was a new way of looking at it.

Your Personal Ministries can be anything from being a stay at home wife and mom to a missionary in Africa.  Whatever we do to show people the Glory of God is a ministry.  God calls us to be missionaries.  Yet we don’t necessarily have to be a missionary to Africa, unless that is where God has called you, to be a missionary.

So let’s pray that God will show us if we already have a personal ministry that God would bless it.  If we don’t think we have a personal ministry, pray that God will show us where we are needed.

"My prayer is that our fellowship with you as believers will bring about a deeper understanding of every blessing which we have in our life in union with Christ. Your love, dear brother, has brought me great joy and much encouragement! You have cheered the hearts of all God’s people."
Philemon 1:6-7
