October Prayer Topic:Power in the Name of Jesus

“In the name of Jesus, devil, get away from me,” I whispered.

“In the name of Jesus,” I said a little louder.

“THE NAME OF JESUS!” I screamed. 

There have been many times that I have said these words.  It has been in the car, or my home, or anywhere that I feel the attack. The devil tries his hardest to get me.  Yet, with the name Jesus, the heaviness of my heart lightened. In its place was a peace. Instead of darkness, I saw light.

If you have felt the attack from the enemy, just yell out those words. IT WORKS.  Jesus will fight off the enemy.  He is our defender. He is our fighter.

There is POWER in the name of Jesus.  Yes, I completely believe that.  I hope that you do too.  It is so powerful. The name of Jesus is life changing.

This month our prayer focus is in that amazing power in the name of Jesus.  It is a name that calms the seas and makes the devil flee.  We can say the say the name of Jesus and something happens.

There is power, mighty power in the name of Jesus.  It is not just the name.  It is the God behind that name.  That power cuts through anything and can affect anyone.

My prayer for each of you is that you realize the power in the name of Jesus.  Maybe you need to call out His name for yourself, or there is someone else in your life that needs Jesus.  Praying over this person, using the name of Jesus. Sit back and see what happens.

“Until now, you have not asked for anything in My name.  Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” John 16:24 (NIV)

We all need Jesus.  Not one of us can live without Him.  He is life sustaining. He is our hope and stay.  He is POWER.

For me, I have called out His name in the dark of night, or in the middle of the day.  It doesn’t matter the time of day. He never tires and is ALWAYS there for us.  He is our defense and a very powerful one at that.

There are days, that I don’t see the Sun, but saying His name out loud, I see it.  Nobody’s life is perfect.  We all need the power of Jesus.  It is not a magic trick. It is the real deal. The name of Jesus is powerful.

Songs on the radio point to the power in the name of Jesus.  The power in the name of Jesus breaks the chains. Those chains that hold us captive, but in the name of Jesus, we are set free.

I don’t think any of us truly realize the magnitude of power that is in the name of Jesus.  This month, I hope and pray that I catch more than a glimpse of that power.  Through my growing relationship with Him, I know that He will show me.

Will you join me in seeing that power in the name of Jesus.  In the name of Jesus, and blind men see.  In the name of Jesus, we are set free.  IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Dear Jesus,

Show us your power in our lives.  In your name, set us free.  You are power.  Show us what you can do in our lives if only we call out your name.  I am calling to you.  Do Your will and break those chains that are holding me.  In your name, Jesus, I pray for each person that reads these words that they too will start to understand the power.

In Your Powerful Name, Jesus, Amen
